The friends, healers, guides, and collaborators who make Kauai Hot Yoga more than just a studio.

Franny Acoba
Long-Time KHY Student
Kauai Hot Yoga came into my life seven years ago — I watched this beautiful young lady creating a special place for us to come together. My salon was right across from the studio, and though I had never practiced hot yoga, yoga itself had been part of my life since I was a teenager. I decided to give it a couple of months. After just a few weeks, I was hooked. What this practice brings to me is not only physical benefits, but also mental health, strength, purpose, support, comfort, no judgment, family (ohana), and love.

Rob Geist
Physical Therapist & Yoga Student
Like many, I came to yoga skeptical — I spent most of my time rock climbing or in the gym. But yoga changed everything. After years of personal hardship and grief, I threw myself into practice. A friend and teacher encouraged me to take YTT, and I graduated in spring 2025. Yoga opened so many doors for healing and gave me a safe place to grieve. The community, my practice, and the four corners of my mat are sacred to me. Turning trauma into beauty — little win after little win.

Glen Kojima
Real Estate Agent & Yoga Enthusiast
Born and raised on Kauai, Glen earned his MBA from the University of Washington in 1987 before returning home to serve his community in real estate with the Kauai Realty Team. He has practiced yoga for over 13 years, developing his own philosophy he calls the "IN" theory — practicing with INtention, INtegrity, and withIN each posture, staying fully present. That same mindset guides his work in real estate, where he approaches every transaction with mindfulness and authentic connection.

Danita Martinez
Hot Yogi & Herbalist
Hot yoga found me in 2018 when I walked into the yoga garage to sweat — and I was completely hooked. The practice became my church and ceremony, engaging the Ayurvedic principles I adore. Through commitment to 26/2, Hot Vinyasa, and Hot Yoga Sculpt, I transformed my body and life. In 2022 I earned my 300-hour Hot Yoga teacher certification in Mexico. I am also the founder of Crow Star Woman Botanical Studio LLC — herbal alchemy for the skin, soul, and senses, rooted in Indigenous plant medicine.
