Walking into a hot yoga studio for the first time can feel a little intimidating — the heat, the unfamiliar poses, the seasoned regulars who seem to flow effortlessly. We get it. But here’s the truth: everyone starts somewhere, and our studio is one of the most welcoming places you’ll ever sweat in.
What Is Hot Yoga?
Hot yoga is practiced in a room heated to 95–105°F with controlled humidity. The heat helps warm your muscles faster, allows for deeper stretching, and promotes a detoxifying sweat. Most students report feeling an incredible sense of calm and mental clarity after class.
What to Bring
- Water bottle — hydrate before, during (if needed), and after class
- Yoga mat — we have mats available to rent if you don’t have one yet
- Towel — a mat towel and a personal towel are both helpful
- Light, breathable clothing — less is more in the heat
What to Expect During Class
Arrive 10 minutes early so our teachers can welcome you and help you find a spot. Let the instructor know it’s your first class — they’ll cue modifications throughout.
The class will feel warm from the moment you step in. Don’t panic — your body will adapt. If you ever feel dizzy or overwhelmed, it’s completely okay to rest in child’s pose or sit down. Listening to your body is the practice.
After Class
Expect to feel tired, sweaty, and — once you’ve cooled down and rehydrated — genuinely amazing. Many students describe a post-class high that keeps them coming back.
We have showers available, and filtered water at the studio.
